This course will describe the latest techniques and materials for diagnosis of the extraction socket defect, both before and after the tooth is extracted.  Through the use of still images and video presentations, the latest techniques and materials for extraction and socket augmentation will be shown. Literature and histologic analysis of different bone replacement graftmaterials, barriers and immediate socket dental implants will be shown to givethe listener the best ability to make an ideal choice of grafting procedures and materials at the time of extraction.
