RECENT ADVANCES IN DIGITAL CERAMIC RESTORATIONS : ALUMINUM AND ZIRCONIUM OXIDES

The aesthetic integration of fixed restorations is the primary objective clinically as well as physically, mechanically, and biologically. Presently, metal-free restorations both on teeth and implants combine strength, biocompatibility, and aesthetics and can be fabricated via CAD/CAM technology. Aluminum and zirconium oxides are the materials of choice for single and multiple crowns, three-quarter laminate veneers as well as fixed partial dentures. During the presentation, all clinical precautions will be developed, with the respective indications of both materials, in order to fulfill patients requirements and to avoid failures.
